The New UAR by APS is a lightweight, polymer AEG designed for close quarts combat and maneuverability. The UAR features a bullpup design, maximizing the inner barrel length while minimizing the user's profile. The UAR has plenty of rail space for accessories and optics, and has three magazine releases. The UAR has an entirely ambidextrous design.

The UAR uses a proprietary V3 gearbox and has a quick change spring system, and the gun comes with a spare M130 spring for a higher fps. The UAR can be completely disassembled without the use of tools, making quick adjustments and internal corrections easier and more efficient in most situations.
